The Tomorrow Project presents

AS Cool AS Jennifer
Episode One

Faith In Truth

Synopsis: Cali Brauer is your average college student. She hangs out at the local pizza joint, struggles to stay awake in class, and worries about boys. But when she answers the phone and hears the code name “Jennifer” she forgets all about her day job.

By trade, Cali Brauer is a sexy, lethal, killing machine. Her parents were murdered in her own home when she was a child by an assassin known only as “the Dove”. Now, she is determined to find him and bring him to justice. Her name is Cali Brauer and she is a spy.

Production: Shot in the summer of 2003, Faith In Truth, was designed as a loving homage to the TV shows 24 and Alias (our title is a direct reference to the lead actress of Alias, Jennifer Garner) both favorites of writer-director Peter Paul Basler. Sprinkled through out are additional call backs to the feature films La Femme Nikita, Run Lola Run and the Jason Bourne film series.

Basler uses the moniker “Tomorrow Project” to denote an independent film group of individuals dedicated to creative, high-quality, low-cost filmmaking. Shot digitally and fully independently, episode one of As Cool As Jennifer, is a shining example of the outcome of that approach.
